Children and Young People live in a complex world in which they can face many challenges and risks, in their real worlds and their online lives. Educating children and young on the different forms of risks, how to manage them for themselves and how to take sensible decisions not only makes them safer, it also helps them to develop as mature adults, responsible and mindful of others.

Primary Resources
Keeping Safe
The Keeping Safe pack allows for children to explore and discuss the importance of keeping safe in familiar, unfamiliar and online environments. The statements cards will encourage conversations around personal safety and those that we can trust as well including online safety. They will also introduce topics such as substances, using medicines correctly and smoking.
The lesson plans will further emphasise the importance of looking after ourselves and recognising that we are responsible for looking after ourselves as we get older.

Drugs
The Drugs Risk Topic educates young people on the Myths and Misconceptions there are around using Substances and the Effects and Impact these have on our Bodies and Emotional Wellbeing. The Cards also look at how Substance Misuse affects Society, why people may use Substances and the Dangers of Prescription Medication.
The 4 Lesson Plans help young people understand the Risk and Consequences of Individual Substances, their Impacts and Legal Consequences.
Alcohol
The Alcohol Risk Topic educates young people on the Myths and Misconceptions there are around using Alcohol and Alcohol Abuse and the Effects and Impact this have on our Bodies and Emotional Wellbeing. The Cards also look at how Alcohol usage affects Society, our Thoughts and Behaviours and the Dangers of Alcohol Use.

Smoking
The Smoking pack allows for young people to explore the reasons and pressures as to why some young people may choose to smoke, tackle the myths around smoking and understand the risk and harm smoking can cause you.
The lesson plans will further explore the personal and social risks and consequences for themselves and others as well as the benefits of not smoking and look at different strategies to resist pressure to smoke.
This pack will cover the use nicotine, vaping and cannabis.
Gambling
The Gambling Statement Cards allow young people to have open discussions around the myths and misconceptions around the topic, looking at how gambling is more than just casinos and racetracks, the consequences of the risks and rewards and addictive behaviours.
The Lesson Plans help young people understand the different forms in which gambling can take and how to identify gambling behaviours. The risks and consequences of gambling will also be explored.
Knife Crime
This resource pack aims to explore the issues around Knife Crime. The 25 Statement Cards will help aid discussions around why young people feel that they need to carry knives, to debate the risks and tackle myths around friendships and pressure.
The Lesson Plans will help explore the topic in greater detail looking at the consequences, the role of peer pressure and how knife crime can be linked with further issues such as Gangs, County Lines and Substance Misuse.
Hate Crime
This resource pack aims to explore the issues of Hate Crime, looking at Citizenship and the communities and individuals who can become victims.
The Statement Cards aim to help hold discussions around the impact of hate crime and incidents on individuals, groups and communities. To tackle the stereotypes some people may have around prejudice and discrimination and to explore issues around race, culture, disability, gender.
The Lesson Plans will explore topics further such as protected characteristics, the consequences of hate crime and the effect of being a bystander.
